We have been in partnership with Series Runner since 2016 and have had the opportunity to see them grow as a company, initiating changes to help better market their partner races and extend our reach beyond our normal boundaries that we operate in. Year over year we have been able to look at the data and see where runners are coming from and we have most definitely seen an increase of 10% on our events, which are hosted in both Oregon and Washington. We consider Series Runner an essential marketing arm of our events and a great marketing affiliate, we can call on them whenever we have a need and they get right on it. I highly recommend them. Their ability to market to more events enhances the series, opening up new races to runners and everbody wins.

We were looking to rebrand our half marathon and move to a new weekend when we were introduced to Series Runner. We quickly realized that it was a perfect match to move in a new direction and attract new runners to our community. We experienced a 10% increase in participation from Year 1 to Year 2 in our half marathon with half coming from outside of our local area and would have had more had we not decided to cap numbers to help our staff manage the race. I have been very happy with the staff at Series Runner and their commitment to helping us take our race to a broader audience of runners.

The RunSedona Event experienced increases in participation at all three distances by being a part of the series. We have looked back at year end results as the true guide, we have seen an 8-10% increase, representing at least an additional 50-70 runners.

It has been a pleasure to work with the California Half and Full Marathon Series pretty much since they started. We have been able to reach runners in markets that we are unable to focus on. We are able to see measurable results and we know how many runners signed up for our race because of the Series. I have been to other race expo’s promoting our event and runners let me know they will be participating in our event because of the Series. The Series is a ~ valuable partner in promoting our race.

Our partnership with Series Runner started with a one year agreement for our events, followed by another one year agreement, however after seeing the sheer volume of athletes that we get exposure to, and after experiencing growth by at least 8% across all of our events, especially our medal race, we signed on for a longer term agreement because it just makes smart business sense to have our events getting exposure to such a large audience. We like the series runner marketing platform because it ensures that our events will be seen on handheld devices through the app, social media, and on the web.
